Festival Dell’Architettura – Scottish Exhibitors
Gareth Hoskins Architects are delighted to be one of only four practices worldwide to be asked to display various projects for this distinguished Italian architecture festival, running from the 19th – 25th September 2005.
The Festival started in 1987 and has grown to become a major Italian event, attracting thousands from all over Europe. This year, the Festival focuses on practice promotion and communication of architecture. Exhibitions will show architectural projects from start to finish, in particular how they were created and how various problems were overcome. Other events including many conferences about planning, landscape and history will be held throughout Parma during the week of the Festival.
Gareth Hoskins Architects work will be shown exclusively in the Galeria Imagina, within the Oltretorrente district of Parma. The story of this award winning practice can be seen from start up in 1998 to the present day, now a practice of over 35 members of staff. Various models, plans and filmed interviews will be on display. The wide range of projects on show will include prestigious projects such as the Culloden Battlefield Memorial Centre at Inverness, the critically acclaimed masterplan for the Royal Museum, Edinburgh and the Architecture Gallery at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
