Queens Park Arena Design Competition ZM Architecture win GIA Bandstand Contest. 2 Jun
The project to create a multi-purpose performance space on the former bandstand site in Queen’s Park, Langside, came about through community discussion and the Scottish Government’s decision to support a few pilot projects, of which this is one. It has received Scottish Government pump-priming funding towards the estimated project cost.
The development proposal is being led by a steering group from four Community Councils – Crosshill/Govanhill, Langside, Battlefield and Camphill, Mt Florida and Shawlands and Strathbungo. This architectural project is also being supported by Glasgow City Council.
