This project should be receiving Planning Permission early November 2007.
The aim was to design a studio / showroom above his existing workshop. Paul Hodgkiss is a very well know furniture designer, who works purely with wood.
The design was to express his love of wood and be reflective of what is on display inside. From within, clients can view into the workshop seeing the craftsmen at work.
The facade is lined in Larch wood and the structure is built out of timber only, it will also be constructed by Paul Hodgkiss & his staff.

Paul Hodgkiss Designs is a creative Scottish company that has built a reputation for distinctive hand crafted wood furniture and fittings, interiors brought to life using existing architectural elements, with both commercial and residential customers.
Since 1986 Paul has forged a unique and instantly recognisable style and quality in bars, restaurants, hotels, nightclubs, historic buildings, shops and the homes of discerning customers.
Artisan and cabinetmaker, there are no limits to Paul’s creative solutions and passion for wood.
From 1994 to 2008 we have been producing my designs and adapting them to suit the job’s practical requirements. In 2007, I set about selecting the favourites, described in my Cuil, Epinel and Rannoch ranges.
To this day, I enjoy nothing more than working on a challenging bespoke commission, where I am asked to design and produce something that I have not tackled before, create strong but subtle brand message through the designs for my commercial clients. From a personal, professional and creative point of view, this is the food of life.
