BBC Scotland Offices + HQ
This £72m BBC Scotland project on the River Clyde in Glasgow was designed by David Chipperfield Architects but Keppie Architects took control in late 2004, in a similar way to the Ocean terminal in Edinburgh (Keppie from Conran & Partners). David Chipperfield reportedly concerned re control of details. Official opening 20 Sep 2007.
Glasgow Harbour
The Riverside Inverclyde regeneration is valued at £342m. The plans will integrate transformation of fourteen derelict / brownfield sites along the coastline from Gourock to Port Glasgow. The Riverside Inverclyde project is a joint venture between Inverclyde Council, Clydeport Ltd & Scottish Enterprise Renfrewshire.
Italian Centre
The Italian Centre in Ingram Street in the Merchant City specialises in designer labels. Glasgow’s retail portfolio forms the UK’s second largest and most economically important retail sector after Central London.
