GIA Awards 2009 – New Category
This year we have introduced a new category, ‘Best Small Practice’, which is open to practices with less than five architects. It is hoped that this new category will recognise the work of small practices that make up the majority of membership.

GIA STUDENT AWARDS:
The GIA Student Awards will be presented on Thursday, 15th October 2009, at the House for an Art Lover, Bellahouston Park, Glasgow at 5:30pm for a 6:00pm start. This year a new award, ‘The Holmes Award’, will be presented to one student selected from the GIA Annual Student Awards 3rd year category winners from each school. The winner of the Holmes Award will receive a certificate and cheque for £500.00.

The Glasgow Institute of Architects is the Glasgow Chapter of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland, covering an area from Gretna in the south-east to Oban, Coll and Tiree in the north-west. The GIA is one of the oldest Chapters of the RIAS and has the largest membership of the six RIAS Chapters.
