BA Executive Lounge at Glasgow Airport

British Airways Executive Lounge Glasgow Airport by Graven Images. Injecting a shot of glamour into the often rather tedious experience of modern air travel, Graven Images has taken a former airline lounge at Glasgow Airport and turned it into a series of connected smaller spaces, to meet the range of needs of British Airways Executive Club and Business guests. 11 Sep

ABC Nightclub – an example of a major new interior in the city

This is a vibrant colourful Glasgow interior that works well with the feel of the city. The nightclub + music venue development brings back to life an old Glasgow picture house. It was the first venue for Regular Music, Scotland’s longest-established live music promoter, and was launched in 2005. The club contains possibly the world’s largest glitterball. This building had been an ice rink, a circus and a cinema.

Glasgow School of Art – probably the most important interiors in Glasgow

An unmissable interior in the city, with stark contrasts between dark woody spaces lower down and white light-filled spaces at the top of the building. The library is sumptous with its delicately decorated wooden linings and furniture, lit by those massive oriel windows to the west and using intricate colour elements.

Hazelwood School – a sensitive and successful private Glasgow interior

This low-level school for sensory-impaired children can easily be missed as you drive past, but behind the discreet exterior which snakes its way around a small wooded site in Glasgow’s south west suburbs is a delightful interior. It has been designed to aid movement around the building using a range of clever forms and textures.
